The Elite were the original Superhero Team. They were created by the US Army to fight in WWII against Japan. However, they didn't finish their training before the war ended. So the Government put them in stasus until they were needed again.

The next time it was deamed necessary to revive them was during Vietnam. However, to prevent them not being ready in time, their training was skipped and they were sent in unpreparred.

Needless to say, they were quickly captured by the Vietcong. It was at this time that Man-O-War, Metalika, Slaughter, Quiet Riot and Judas Priest decided they were going to get back at the American Government for thier mistreatment.

They convinced their captures that they wanted to help them stop the American invasion and so were released and trained by the Vietnamese. Then they returned to America to seek their revenge.

After arriving in America, Judas Priest disappeared and Metalika was rendered out of commision because she was pregnant with Slaughter's child.

So Man-O-War started recruiting new members and renamed the group the Motley Crew. The new members he recruited were: ACDC, Damn Yankee, Dangerous Toys, Slayer, Twisted Sister and Vixen.

Man-O-War continues to recruit and is trying to build an Army of Mutants, Mutates and High-Powered beings to aid him in his quest for vengence.
