BACKGROUND: Sid grew up in Texas, he was always the tough kid that stood up for the little guy. Once he found out he was a mutant he tried to keep it to himself, but the school found out and refused to let him play any sports or join any clubs. So, Sid spent all his free time at the local airport fixing engines for the old man that ran the place. As payment for his hard work, the old man got Sid fighting lessons to help him control his strength and taught him how to fly airplanes.
During his senior year of school, the record of him being a mutant somehow disappeared, now he was free to persue the other things he had been missing out on. So he joined the wrestling team. After graduation, he joined the WWF and quickly made it through the ranks. It was during his time in the WWF that he met the love of his life, a young registered nurse named Synthia. They got married and shortly after she convinced him to quit the WWF so he wouldn't be hurt, emotionally, when his record re-surfaced and he had to be kicked out.
He and his wife moved to New York where he worked at the airport repairing the Jumbo Jets. While there, he single handedly stopped an international terrorist group from hijacking one of the planes. This caught the attention of Marty Star who then hired him to be one of the first members of his new Superhero group.
