BACKGROUND: While on a rutine patrol, Sgt. Steven Wilcox was caught at ground zero of an underground Nuclear Explosion. The blast was miles deep and he was in his jeep, so the blast didn't harm him, but the readiation still reached him mutating his body. The Park Rangers thought he was dead, killed in the blast, he didn't know this until after his funeral, he didn't want to cause a scene, or become some sort of pin cusion for the scientists, so he left Canada and went to San Francisco to become a Ranger there. When that didn't work, he became a hero, but has to accept money if offered, so he can eat.
